If you find a company you are interested in tell them what you are looking to do up front. If it is a good company they should be able to give you a reasonable answer. Once they know what you are looking to do they will try to fit you in if they can. Even out on OTR your job will depend entirely on available freight at the moment and the best advantage of the company. So they might be able to tell you we can fit you in as soon as something opens up or give you a time frame, like within a year.

As a new driver for roehl you will be going national for at least 3 months and thats just about a guarantee, after that if you've shown you can drive and there are other opportunities they will be available.

After you are with Swift for three months you will start receiving messages on the Qualcomm of job opportunities for dedicated fleets. I'm not sure whether they post openings for regional or not. Best to ask the recruiters. If you have an opportunity to meet a recruiter face to face that also helps. I did that as part of my job selection, going to a local terminal, looking around, and talking with the recruiter in the terminal.

    Hmmm that does make sense.
So during the year long hitch with any entry level trucking job during that time period you can truly start to see oppounities? Is that correct??
