That was actually something I looked at doing once before, but I couldn’t get management approval on that one. It kills me, these people will repeatedly spend hundreds of dollars to have cracked boxes repaired and remounted because guys are carrying too much weight, only to have them break again in a few months, but they won’t spend a grand in one shot to have it fabbed up the right way to keep it from breaking in the first place! Corporate logic!
Can I attach a chain hanger to my trailer frame?

Dont see the problem with it. On my flatbed we had a couple pieces of rebar welded to the cross members to carry snow chains... Just make sure whatever u build, the binders is secured .. Or dot will remind you... cke, CAXPT, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this.

First place my trailer went was the fab shop when I bought it. Had various chain hangers, binder baskets, dunnage storage etc welded up.

Previous company I worked with all the securement stayed on the trailer so you could swap trailers and keep rolling.
However I’m comparing apples to oranges as all my stuff is just steel and wood.cke, CAXPT, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this.

Well Hell... that is not what I wanted to hear. I do remember seeing that you were having engine problems in another thread, I guess I didn’t realize the extent of it. I hope you are able to get things sorted out and find your way back onto the road and onto the forum.
