No... In order to register a car that is 25 years or older as a Historic car.. the law states:
“cannot be altered from the manufacturer’s original design in any way.” As soon as I show that in court along with my Antique/History car registration the tickets are dropped...

They can't have a law saying It can be altered then ticket me for following the law and not installing not original seat belts in it.

Regarding seat belt tickets.... i had ONE due to taking mine off at the fuel pump to get my wallet in my Carharrts, but because the Jeep (POV) was running and cop followed me in: $85 bucks. Got denied by SNI (this was over 6 years ago) due to that.. actually was a blessing in disguise; got on with a local ish gig, and been there ever since. Geez.....right?

Good short and to the belt. I like it.

One of my cars never had belts in the seats. That was fun. Takes me right back to 60's when no one paid for seatbelts because they were extra option.

One of the most outrageous non seatbelt incidents was with a little MG convertible a counselor had in Columbia Md at the school there, Top down, it is covered with a concave steel plate. Room for 4 kids back there up top. 15 mile run to downtown for a event or something. Nothing but blue sky and not a stitch of belt anywhere.

Talk about potential liability that did not exist in those days. We simply went.
