What I want to know is can you work past the 14th hour when you are up against your 70? In other words say I arrive somewhere to deliver and I'm at 70 and then they decide they want their freight now instead of in the am. I would be working past my 70 to unload line 4?

Yes you can! However the amount of time you are over on your 70 hour will come out of the hours available for tomorrow. But it is legal to be on line past the 14 & 70 hour rule. Remember DOT is just concerned about you DRIVING passed the amount of hours you are allowed
