I got a traffic ticket for didn't completely stop on a red light to turn right on May of 2007, and got into an accident in March of 2009 because it was snowing and the road got slippery so I sideswiped another car on a highway, the police gave me a warning.
So with my violations, is it possible that I can get a truck driving job? I'm 22 years old now.
Thanks.
Can I become a trucker driver with violations?

please, can anyone help?

you shouldn't have a problem. most places have the 3 violations or less in the last three years rule.
-
Possible ? certainly. But YOU have to ask around.
Probable ? At your age of 22, most OTR will not hire you without experience, and your driving record is marginal.
There are plenty of applicants with better records, but yours ain't that bad.
My suggestion would be to get local class B job, and work your way into a class A. As you get older , the current tickets will drop off, and you will have some abilities.Hang in there, but keep that license clean.:smt119 -
cool, what's the demand on truck drivers these days? Are there a lot of jobs available?
-
I don't mind as long as I have a job driving, I suppose class b job will pay less but what exactly is class b job? Do I need CDL or something less for it?
-
you will need a cdl.Class B is a straight truck over 26k, Like a dumptruck, mixer,etc.

Geesh, you could be my twin! I got the former in April 2008, and had the latter in January 2010. You did not get a citation for "sideswiping" the other car?! You lucked out, as I got a failure to maintain control citation when I did the same. Swift is allowing me the opportunity to go to one of their academies in 2 weeks, so someone should give you an opportunity.
-
the warning shouldn't show up just the convictions and the rule is ussually 3 in 3 and your not going to be with a good carrier till they drop off in 5 years .
-
So they let you enroll in their academy but does that guarantee a job?
