Can I call my previous company to see what they say about me?

I got a copy of my DAC and it doesn’t mention the tractor trailer experience I had at my previous company. Only the OTR that I did before that. I’d like to find out what they say about my previous experience at the company where I did 1 month Tractor trailer and 1 year straight truck.

How do companies verify that I have that one month experience at that specific company if it’s not on my DAC?

What exactly do I ask for when I call? They’re in a different state. They ended up canceling their contract with USPS but still have a website so i’m wondering if I can even get them to verify that I did a month of tt there.

 

So you’re saying they can verify my employment to another company but not me personally?

 

I tried calling them and haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone. The company ended the contract with USPS but they still exist, just nobody answers the phone or replies to emails. I want to make sure they have a record of me working there because I need verifiable experience to apply for a job i’m looking at. If they don’t answer i’m not sure how I can verify my work there.
