Can I drive interstate with my CDL if I checked off intrAstate on my application?

    For AZ, you can buy the temp permit at the POE, Just park to the side, go into the building and walk up to the window, You’ll pay mileage from POE to your destination, Simple as that. For CA I would imagine the truck dealer would be able to issue a temp permit when he buys the truck, unless he is buying from private party, have Togo to DMV then.

    I also think there is more to this than just getting a temp registration permit at the POE. It has been years since I was in an Arizona POE, but I want to remember having to show some other documents before I could buy the permit. I might be wrong of course, I HIGHLY recommend checking with Arizona before moving a CMV into the state. Make sure you have ALL the things covered.

    It matters. A guy I use to work with accidentally checked the "intra" box on his license renewal and got taken out of service in another state. They had to send somebody else out to get the truck. We were based in California and he was stopped in Oregon.
