The speeding ticket just says "SPEEDING 10-19MPH". It's my only ticket.

I worked as an EMT/ambulance driver at that time. Can I just say that I couldn't turn off "ambulance mode" but I have since recovered? Will this affect my ability to work at most companies?

What? It's a different question. I thought I had three tickets but I only have one.

You're brand new. Any company that is gonna hire you doesn't care about your old speeding ticket or "ambulance mode". They might go "hmm, does he know how make good choices while operating an 80k lbs vehicle", but since you'll just be meat in the seat, they womt give it too much thought.

Whatever you do. Don't tell them that. Even BillyBob's Alligator Eatery won't hire you.

Your ticket has a number to it, so even if your MVR says one thing, when someone digs into it, they see what it was written for.

As for a job, we have people with vehicular homicide driving trucks so you can get a job.

I told you yesterday you can work. You just cant afford to be picky. Just get tour license and get your experience.

I doubt any Police Officer is going to pull you over in a live flashing responding wailing screaming Ambulance at 90+ mph. They would be in front clearing the way for you instead. My last ride in one a few months ago was a quiet ride at my request to collect me and go down the road with lights but no siren. They did about 75 most of the way escorted by the Law for other reasons not related to speed.

So that takes care of the fluff related to Ambulance mode. Never heard of it.

Whatever ticket you got in 10-19 over is a serious ticket in Trucking, but not too serious. Felons who have killed people in their lives but since served their sentence sometimes go trucking as a way to rebuild their new life in freedom now that prison is over and done with. We had 4 felons in our trucking school out of 22. Two of the four chose not to explain what they did that was so serious. But it was enough for them to get a Class A license and go trucking with any employer they want in the USA.

Speeding is the lowest problem, that sometimes when big and serious enough like say 100 mph in a 25 mph school zone... you will be sitting for years on the porch before that falls off your MVR before you are hired to drive a 18 wheeler.

Seeing as many trucks I would say 85% of them are governed by nanny computer to 61, 62 or 63 mph on a 70, 75, 85 mph highway holding up traffic, your speeding is not going to happen in a 18 wheeler. So I don't understand why a company will not hire you when none of their trucks make it possible to do any speeding.
