Agent code is CMK. It came out of danville KY -
I have heard they discriminate against BCOs that don’t have pets and own white Volvos and reserve their best loads for BCOs that own older Cascadias and have 2 cats.

Well there's plenty of info right on this thread describing the horror that is Landstar. Don't say you weren't warned.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

That’s what I thought. Leasing to Landstar is a field of dreams business plan. Lease on and the freight will come. I can easily imagine losing money the first six months after Leasing on but I’m getting tired of deadheading hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles a week. The freight pays well enough to justify the empty miles but I’d rather get some money for backhauls.

Country Music KingScooter Jones and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Yup ain’t much on there.

Seems there is a Lease Operator (Landstar Leasers) loadboard that shows the posted rate, but as I said, there's a secret password you have to know to get on there.
I tried using "Abracadabra" & "OpenSesame" as passwords, but neither of those worked. So, I guess poor old Owner Operators (like me) with my authority will just have to continue to languish out here on the old bottom feeder DAT board, until I give and sign on as a lease operator under LS authority

Yep, that’s the current plan. But right now I’m just a humble company driver trying to get my ducks in a row.
I figured is was an exclusive board, but, had to ask.
There’s plenty of info on this thread, and this message board in general, describing the horror that is this entire industry, yet I can’t stop staring... -
a lot of agents also are brokers and agents for other companies and will find loads to haul for their other clients.
The difference is, when it enters the LS system and it is dispatched, the load gets backed by LS. I have been paid without any problems by LS and they force the agent to pay them if there are issues with it.
Really midnight, you need to find another company. If they are not paying your DH at a rate that works for you, then you need to rethink all of it.
I have a pair of crane vans that get paid for any move of those trucks, I have one truck going to Arizona from Florida and being paid for that move no matter where they are at in the country.
