I interpret that as, you arrive on time for your appointment at big box distribution & after sitting for 90 minutes, they haven't touched your trailer, so you go on the clock.

As for that "you choose to use the driver facing camera", does that mean you tell them to turn it off? Put a piece of tape over it?
And what about audio recording? Some have that feature (I think McElroy but I could be mistaken)
How would you like that phone call from HR? "So, I hear you're fed up with dispatch and equipment and are thinking about quitting"

I'm in the same spot, 43 years experience, been retired for 4 years and now having a hard time getting hired.

Been under surveilence for years and none of those fireable offenses are true or I would've been gone the first day. Do I like it no. I like my paycheck though. It is what it is.

I'd like to think if you are a good driver and gets it done out here they don't want to lose you and look the other way.

Not where I work. They want accumulated offenses, so when they want to get rid of a driver or they need to lose a bunch of drivers, they have an easy way to do that. The ownership and management are the worst in human beings, while being the stupidest in human beings. Without drivers and the revenue we generate, they have no jobs. *facepalm*

Samsara has a whole mess of roads with inaccurate/non-updated speed limits on them. For instance, an improved rural highway without speed limit signs is 55mph. Samsara will have them at 35mph. That’s 20mph over, so reckless driving, as well. I-465 around Indianapolis is 65mph. That loop is ~53 miles around! Samsara has it at 55mph. There are a whole lot more. IMO, Samsara has stuff in their system like that to enable their customers a way to terminate drivers. The driver will not have any recourse, because they will never remember everything. The company will only need to show accumulated speeding miles and be done with the driver.

The whole world is against drivers.

Why do that though, don't they need drivers?

One would think. Spring of ‘24, they canned 13 in one day. Spring of ‘25, they canned 9 in one day. A whole mess of trucks and tractors disappeared. Yet, they’re always running “drivers wanted” ad campaigns. They’ve had every good driver through the place. There’s nothing left to do, but, waste money on recruiting. Truly some of the most ignorant people I’ve worked for.

I read somewhere on this forum about a company that would let their top drivers who were making better money go over small offenses, because they could hire new guys to work for cheaper. Only a dude that lives in his computer based alternate reality understands that concept.
