The driveway does not actually split. what you see over to the right is a gravel area I had prepared to park the truck on. I was not clear in my post as far as my game plan or intentions. My plan was: As you are looking out of the driveway toward the road... I would bring the tractor down the road from the right to the left. stop and then sight-side back in to the drive way and shoot for the gravel pad to the right. I am a newbie but I am fairly sure if the trailer was sitting on the gravel pad to the right I could get the rig out.
Thanks to everybody for their responses and to Cybergirl for posting the pics for me.
Can I get at 53' into my driveway

Yes it is a straight culvert 45' wide. Orginally it was 20' wide. When I asked DOT to put in the extension I asked them to ensure it would support a 40 ton rig crossing over. I had a load of gravel spread and the driver said no problem weight wise crossing with a 40 ton rig.
It is hard to tell from the pictures but the driveway curves on each end after passing over the culvert to meet the road. The actual width of the driveway as it reaches the road is about 60'. The tandems can start tracking the curve about 10' beyond the end of the culvert and still remain about 1 1/2 feet from the end of the culvert. -
alright yeah i think it can be done.
im not saying on the first try, but with a little thinking you should be able to slide it right in -
Hey good luck. Let us know if ya made it in there with a 53.
If for some reason the 53 wont fit, do not post that, as we'll all look bad -
Can you move the tree back or even both trees back several feet? Have them re-planted in a better location. people do that all the time, they move trees. here's another idea ........now, I can't really see everything so if I'm wrong I'm wrong.. but is it possible to back in on an angle off the street and get the trailer nose all the way into the driveway but on an angle? if you can, then unhook from the trailer and hook back up with the tractor at a 90 degree angle from the trailer with the tractor facing the road. then you pull the rig forward and straighten her right out. be careful hooking up that way... it's obviously not the proper way to do it ......... just make sure your landing gear is raised a little higher then normal so you won't rock the trailer. i used to be a yard jockey in an extremely tight environment with the trailers spaced about 3 inches apart. i've hooked up that way before... so it does work.. but use extra caution. and watch that you don't hit your fairing on the trailer either. You should be able to make it, but don't listen to us yahoo's on here, we're not the one's doing it. You know what your limits are and what you can do. As you get more experience, you will be able to do more.
I've been in a couple of spots now where I've looked at something and thought I could do it, and then get the truck in there and find out I'm an idiot. Live and learn. -
i like this guy, thinking out side of the box
i still think it can be done...but like 379pete said dont tell us if it dont fitmake us look bad

It won't make you look bad if you follow my motto: Greater acceptance through lower standards.
40 acres and I can't get in my driveway. Obviously I am trying to not remove either of the two trees. It's not that I am a tree hugger (unless they have been converted into $5.00 bills).
I will let you all know if I made it but I do not expect to get my truck from Roehl until about the end of january. Unless the trainer happens to pick me up at the house for the second training phase. -
I've been in some tight spots before with a day cab, but simply thinking and being careful, I've been able to back in where ever needed.
It takes practice, patience, and sometimes alot of work.
