I have a year of OTR experience but drove a box truck regionally for another year, this previous year. Can I get away with saying on an application that it was an 18 wheeler I was driving instead?

Lie and it might jump up and bite you in the backside.
Just be honest. How hard is that?

No. A simple call to your previous employer would expose you, and now you would have "falsification of application" on your DAC. Not good.

FLATBED and BrenYoda883 Thank this.

I'm sorry, I'm a pretty tolerant guy, but are you serious? Like Big Don said a while back, " what a wonderful way to start a new job, with lies". :biggrin_25513:

He probably feels he should not have to go thru training why he wants to lie on the app.
I'm sorry, I'm a pretty tolerant guy, but are you serious? Like Big Don said a while back, " what a wonderful way to start a new job, with lies". :biggrin_25513:
" what a wonderful way to start a new job, with lies". :biggrin_25513: Yet many on here give that advice when it comes to INCIDENTS / ACCIDENTS that are in someones past with the theory what the prospective company does not know ( NOT YET ) will not hamper your application without realizing LYING ON APPLICATION is yet another incident to haunt their future employment chances

Why not just put on the application what you actually did , instead of putting on there what you think they want to hear. I can't understand the thought process some people use.
