I'm curious if Stevens would get rid of a driver if that driver starts to get garnished for a LOT of old credit card debt? I also have a MASSIVE amount of student loan debt.

I keep hearing how as a newbie I would be lucky to make 30k a year my 1st two years. I'm just a little worried about how I will be able to pay my student loan payments on 20k a year.

The bad credit card debt? Nothing I can do about those. Let the chips fall where they may.

Bankruptcy will get rid of the CC debt. Won't touch Federal Student Loans however. Stevens will tell you their school loan is a "Student Loan" and you cannot file Bankruptcy to get out of it but as it isn't Federally funded, unless they show up at the hearing they will lose.
Garnishments happen, they are a fact of life. Stevens has someone on staff who's only job is taking care of them, I don't think they will have any issue with it.

"Wage assignment" (same as garnishment) was one question my recruiter asked me. I don't know why because I didn't get to the part where the HR folks talk one-on-one, but my guess is Stevens does care about it. Making a court-ordered payment to another company costs them money and can put them in a tricky legal position if you don't have enough income to cover the wage assignment.

I doubt very much that Stevens cares about debt garnishments, assignments or any other stuff like that.
    Why do I think that?
I owe more than $1 million in taxes, have more than $12 million in civil judgements against me personally. Some are major. I hold the distinction of one of the largest defaults against American Express in recent history (over $700,000).
I've forgotten all the bank loans that I personally guaranteed that are unpaid...probably over $4 million.
Stevens has never said a word.
    So don't fret over that.
Besides....my business credo is , "If I owe you a little money and can't pay? I have a problem.
But if I owe you a LOT of money and can't pay?....YOU'VE got a problem.
