can i get the news on these companies

Don't know anything about Timco, but stay away from K&B. They have had some serious issues lately. I think there is a thread or two around here on K & B.

 

Hunt is part of Crete and they have threads on here also.

 

It's been longer with K & B than lately, to be honest, Lilbit. I drove for them for a very brief period. Some slick cons workin' in those offices.

 

You have got a decision to make on what you really want to do. Do you want to pull refers and deal with grocery warehouses, meat packing plants, etc.... then KB would be where you want to head. Do you want to chain/strap down cargo, throw tarps in the heat or freezing rain, etc.... then Hunt is not too bad.

Whether a company is good or bad is only part of the equation. The type of work it is, who you are dealing with, etc is just as important. I could say that Hunt is a good company, but it wouldn't mean anything if a person is miserable tying down freight and throwing tarps. Don't know whether KB is good or bad, but I know I wouldn't choose them simply because I don't want to deal with the type of freight and customers that generally are associated with refers.

Good luck in your choice. There is a something for everyone out here. You just have to find what you like doing and then find a good carrier to do it with.
