Can I install a Trailer brake in a truck that didn't come with one?

The proper American brass fittings will be stamped DOT somewhere on the fitting.

 

yep, really not all fittings on market are certified

I also would gratly appreciate a diagram. We are finishing up converting my triaxle dump to a triaxle tractor. Has a factory trolley in it, but it is plumbed to the truck. Not sure where to start searching, and if anyone has ever opened the dash on a 2000 w900, you understand the "mess" you have to try to dig through.
