Can i jump start my car with my truck?

    Like an idiot I left the jump pack charger at home and there's no one here.

    Aaa said theyd be a couple hours, can i do this myself or would it be a really bad idea?

    Find the lugs under the hood for jumping. Easier and safer than connecting directly to the batteries.

    Should be able to if you have cables and your batteries are connected in parallel.

    I think the biggest issues stems from people hooking up the positive side first. It gives some kind of surge that won't blow fuses but will/can mess up the computers on newer vehicles. Crazy...

    I have used my sisters car to jump my truck. The other way should work just as well.
    Both are 12V systems.
    (Note: the truck batteries may need several minutes to charge up enough to start the truck. Be patient.)

    By the way, she has a newer Toyota, and the positive side was connected first. No problem with either computers.
