That's what I have. It's annoying but it allows me to pay the bills.Chinatown Thanks this.

Doubt it. If you’ve ever dealt with a medical assistant you know in fact that they have very little empathy and a huge ego slash sense of self importance. Not all but most and she certainly fit the billScooter HBG, x1Heavy and starmac Thank this.

things like sleep apnea are often misdiagnosed and over diagnosed. Also being physically fit doesn’t necessarily make you immune to suffering the effects of heart attack, stoke or other sudden cardiac/neurological emergencies. One grandfather was 66 when he died of a heart attack. He was a runner with a healthy weight and BMI. Other grandfather was 84 also died of heart attack but had a whole list of pre existing conditions from about age 45 on.
Unless you’re a doctor, and you’ve examined the OP thoroughly, I’d highly doubt you’re in a position to recommend physical fitness for one career over another.
I’d also take a look at some of the stats for drivers who are diabetic, have high BP and “diagnosed” sleep apnea. If you were in charge we’d have half the drivers...but twice the loss prevention at our local Walmarts. Pretty sure there’s no rent a cop shortage in this country as of now. As for the driver shortage, we all know how that goes... -
You feel so Good about his health y'all go team for awhile. That would change the attitude.86scotty and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

There is a thought that comes to me sometimes.
Never debate with a trucker. Sometimes you will find the one or both just plain stubborn. -
I wouldn’t team with my own flesh and blood, let alone a stranger. I know nothing about the OP and his overall fitness because just like everyone else here I’m not a doctor. I do know that the industry is dying and over regulation in driver fitness is partially to blame. Do I want unhealthy drivers on the road? In theory, no I don’t. But realistically there are unhealthy people in every profession and if we over legislate and regulate beyond measure we will theoretically kill the entire industry

BoxxTrucker so you got heart concerns in family history did you disclose that on dot form??
LoSt_AgAiN, 86scotty and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Your family comes into contact with them everyday who do you want driving beside them???
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Nearly anyone who’s honest will find at least one or two things on those forms they can check “Yes” next to. Does that mean they do it? Probably not. You seem very concerned with driver safety and the bureaucratic legislation that comes with it. Perhaps a job with the DOT would be better suited for you??
