There are Petes with S60’s in the early 2000’s I think until 2003. Cheaper to find that truck.

Only problem I have is running without an MC may be hard to get a contract with a truck that old. What do you think? Amy suggestions on companies to work for as O/o or should I go ahead and get MC. Thanks for the heads up about the 500k newer models costing more than new trucks cause I was thinking of that as an alternative to a 12.7l but wasn't sure and has second thoughts after test driving some at a ryder used truck dealer.

Also do you think the long nose classic Pete's are going to get as good as mileage as a cascadia or a newer Pete 579 due to aerodynamics?

They are actually half million mile repower jobs, ranging anywhere from 2015-2020 as of now. They posted a pic of the odometer once. Think they stopped doing that.. lol
They slap a 550 3406E in, then somehow get an "assembled title" for the year it was assembled. Hence the new claim of being a 2023..bad-luck Thanks this. -
Can someone help me identify the engine year of this 12.7L detriot 60 series ddec 4
06RE134794
It's from a 2013 dailmer glider manufactured in Mexico. Less than 100k miles on ecm and odometer. 2.93 rears Colombia 120
Also anyone know anything about dailmer? I guess they are a dealer but no clue how they did there gliders. -
Do it. Re title it in Nebraska as a 2023. All legal. Then if you want title it in your state.

I know a dude with a mid teens Cascadia and a 5EK in it. Bought the truck with a hole in the original DD block. It was a winter project. He does his own work.
Bean Jr. and Soon2BeOwnerOperator Thank this. -
The only issue is requiring the harness; the motor will fit not problem, it will snug up against any transmission you have.
Once installed you just need to get the parameters set for you current set up. It’s not that big of a deal if your mechanic knows how to get the electrical right. there are several shops around the country who specialize in detroit series 60 and cummins N14 and cat motors.
you just have to ask around. Every truck out here isn’t running legal and so long as you stay out of Colorado with registration ( they have emissions test) and Cali you will be fine. No one checking the motor during a DOT inspection EPA standards!Soon2BeOwnerOperator Thanks this. -
I personally know a guy who takes Cascadias/T600 and Petes and puts 12.7s in them.
