So for the last few months I have been running local in different states.I drive from my home state (Texas) to wherever the local oilfield related work is at and then work in that area within 150 miles (timesheet) for a couple of months.I then go home.On the trip up from my house and the return trip can I run paper logs legally?
From what I read as long as I don’t use them for more than 8 days in a 30 day period I’m good.
Can I run paper logs in this situation?

Yes you would be fine as long as you don’t require a log book more than 8 days in a 30 day period.

Last I knew it was from home terminal address, so I believe you would need logs either way

It’s based on where you report for work and clock in, not the home address.
