Can I run Texas only logs with apportion plates if I don't leave texas

    Just brought truck trailer running 8/70 Texas elog originally applied for apportion plates but haven't left Texas yet..just curious if I'm running illegal

    Yes you can as long as the load is Intrastate. Doesn't matter your portion of the load, it matters about the whole trip.
    Say you pick up a container out of the port on Huston and deliver it to a warehouse in Dallas. It's still an Interstate load as it crossed state lines.

    Make sure you get with Texas and get a TxDMV number. If you haul intrastate, they require it whether you have apportioned plates or not.

    You need to show some miles in another state, buy some fuel. Prove you where there, will make an audit less expensive.
