can i start company training with a paper license?

I guess you'll find out. But carriers deal with this issue all the time. Thing is, your paper copy may expire before you can get home to get your hard copy.

 

I started a company once with a paper license. They accepted it. All I had to do was fax a xerox copy of my hard license when it came in the mail. If your state is anything like California you won't have to wait 4-6 weeks. CA DMV told me 4-6 weeks but mine came in less than a week.

 

U should be ok as long as everything is current. but if you really want hard copy before you go. don't no what state u stay in most cities have driver control office. go down there face to face tell them what u trying to do. tell them you are trying to get job and u cant because of not having hard copy(little fib maybe). see if they can expedite the process they tell u 4-6wks it may come in 2. time to do some leg work. I was in salt lake city, Utah at CR England there people came there with regular hard copy(no cdl) and graduated the 2wk class with cdl they left out with trainer having a piece of paper. whenever they got by home they were to take it by dmv to get cdl hard copy. NO NEED TO STRESS but make sure BEFORE you get on bus and go all the way where ever for them to have an issue. I no you may like that company look into other companies to have some extra eggs in basket. for just in case. if she cant give you a HELL YES!!!! with you having no doubt I say get on bus. if you have a question mark by her answer think carefully but its on u if u want to risk they promise you something they cant give. when I went to Utah the recruiter told me I would be in a week class and I would go out with trainer. I live in ar it took me 2 1/2 days to get there I was on a bus that broke down half day wasted. I get to Utah sign in at desk. get in class I find out the recruiter put wrong thing on my application. I had to go thru that class like I didn't have a cdl already. now that sucked. to make it better they told me I didn't have to pay for class or sign year contract. I wasn't gonna pay anyway. I said that because PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE that recruiter is not jerking you around just to get bonus off u coming to that company. when people see money they will lie to you. u no most grandma's say money make people act funny(lie)! cross all t's and dot all I's. before u go.

 

I don't see why not its the same as the hard copy.No DOT will dispute that.
