can i still get into Field?

ok heres more detail.
im currently in va. i have a sc dl. i have been here in va for awhile and had a car reg here. in 2012 i left the country. the veh that was here, the insurance lapsed for about 2-3 months. here in va, you must have insurance on a "tagged" veh. my ins comp sent info to vadmv saying no insur. vadmv then suspended my driving priv here in va. i wasnt aware of it. i got a speeding tkt in apr 2013. cop ddnt say anything about susp. last fri, i went to vadmv toget permit and switch dl over to va. the vadmv says i have to pay a fine from 2012 susp beforehand. i checked my scdmv dlmstatus and it says all is ok just shows speeding tkt. i asked vadmv why the susp doesnt show up and they said bc scdmv is on a different system. i hope this clarifies the situation. never had a dui! only speeding ticket in over 8+ yrs. maybe im just not seeing the answer to my question! thanks again to those that have responded!! yea in va, if you dont have ins, they will suspend your driv priv. and your registration! its a common wealth thats all about getting wealthy!
