Did truck start? Are you in side of road still?
Maybe a dose of washer fluid could work. Its 33% ethanol I think. Just use your wiper nozzle if possible?

Use the manual pump to make sure the system is primed. Shouldn't really need ether if it's got a fully charged up fuel system...especially if it usually starts right up.

It’s not cold anywhere in North America so if engine is spinning over and not firing it’s a fuel issue
    Start priming.

If you can get a towel and gasoline. Pour a little on the towel and put it over the intake. Make sure you have it in a way where it's not possible to be sucked into and through the intake.

If its really cold and you need to give it some giddiup try using petrol fumes in the air cleaner that usually gives it a quick boost.

Used to be the propellant gas in a lot of spray cans was propane, which made just about anything in a can work (i.e. the mentioned spray paint). Huffers put an end to that magic, for a large part.

Its so hard to find good starting fluid now days... I can remember when just about all starting fluid was at least 60% ether... The kind that you could use to set the beads on tires.
