can ltl not pay you ot after 8/40 in all states?

    I know Washington is a mandatory "OT after 40" state. Some court case in 2007 decided it. True enough, when I worked for OD in Seattle they paid time and a half after 40. I know from personal experience this is not so in New York, New Jersey, or Oregon. 55 or 60 which basically means you never get any. The kicker in WA state is that they don't have a state income tax either. (Starts to make me question my decision to leave...)

    I've wondered if any other states had mandatory OT after 40 for drivers, but it's rather obscure information and hard to dig for.

    EXACTLY!! Companies get away with this crap becuase peole choose to work in those terrible conditions.
