If your company is "scheduling in",16 hour runs in "order to get it all done, WEEKLY,? JUST opinion this is a BS place to work in my thinking? We had a run like that go from NKC MO to Wichita Ks, make 9 deliveries(east &West Wichita, take 800 boxes on a dolly (down 53 lift gate) and drive back.Even the "Seasoned Veterans",could "Barely" do it in 16 hours!. Had to drive 72 mph when you could, and do the Hustle.Total BS run.JMO
Can my boss tell me to come back to work before my 10 hrs off? Looking for clarification.

I took your teasing in good humor.
Maybe I am the one who is cranky when I wrote it. Sorta.
You are right, no one should not have to do what they think they do not want to. -
Barely able to run from KC MO to Wichita and back in 16 hours, your trucks only do 45? Thats 200 miles one way I'll be generous and call it 225 that should be easy to do 16 hours unless you're hauling stuff 6 blocks down the alley on a pallet jack.

:30 to hook, fuel and pretrip in the morning
3:30 drive down
9 stops @ :30 a stop = 4:30
:15 minutes driving between stops = 2:00
:30 break
3:30 drive back
That's 14:30, I can easily see how it can stretch to 16.06driver Thanks this. -
I can see how it fills 16 pretty easy, but that happens in everything it's one of Murphy's laws something along the lines of work will always fill the time you a lot to do it or something.
