Can one hard brake create damage to a truck?

Yeah
I drive a Silverado company pickup now , and it has the tattletale that phones home if you hit the brakes hard , get over 80 mph etc

fleet manager used to give me crap about the idle time and hard braking low fuel milage etc , but they finally gave up and left me alone .

the new tattletale that plugs into the OBD port has a crash sensor too ,
I make sure to kick it at least once or twice a week when I get in the truck.
