Does anyone know if it's possible to get a truck driving job, when you only have specific days free. Would this be considered part time?

Local delivery of some kind. Propane, gas, produce, general freight, garbage truck, gravel, .

An OTR or regional job can't always get you the days off you need.

4 day work week trucking jobs maybe out there. Most truckers have worked full time hours by the middle of day 4, so I doubt working 4 days would be considered part time considering you'll be working probably 10-14 hours a day...

Maybe dedicated routes might work for you. I get 2 days off a week but it rotates. First week i get friday and saturday off, 2nd week i get saturday and sunday off, and then back again.

Other than that something local will give you what you want.

I've seen it posted a lot in the forums and i didn't realize how true it was til I got into it myself but if you're willing to do tandem dump truck or even end dumps, see if you can find a smaller local outfit that will be more understanding and flexible for your needs. My boss only has 3 trucks and as long as I give at the very least a couple days notice I can pretty much count on whatever off day i may require

Depends, back in the 90's I worked for a company in Olathe Ks. And they had what they called "casual drivers" where they had regular jobs, and drove casual for them on the weekends, or whenever they wanted to. You might check with companies in your area and see if they do that. Hope this helps

How much experience do you have and what is your work history like? If you’re a top level driver with experience and a clean record you have a chance at finding a local company that may want to work around your schedule just to bring you on board.

Get your own gig, make your own hours and takeoff whatever days you want. Pretty simple.

You cannot get specific days. Freight has to be delivered all days of the week usually in the morning. The days do not stop for you because you want off. You will be fired and replaced by someone who will work all 7 days OTR or regional etc.
