Revised:
Right, well the load from MO to WA paid $3.24 per mile. Just say fuel is $.50 per mile. Maintenance is .08/mile on a new truck, and all the other Authority expenses added together are .25/mile. And truck depreciation is .25/ mile. So your income per mile on that load is 2.16/mile. But, actually, average spot rate today is 2.40/mile not 3.24/mile. So, at today's average spot rate of $2.4 your income per mile without truck payment and taxes would be 1.32/mile. Depreciation was calculated in, so this what you would get per mile if you sold your truck later. All said and done, income before taxes comes out to about 3k per week at today's average spot rate of $2.4/mile.
Can owner operators make 4k per week after all expenses and taxes?

And next week the average spot rate could be $2.30 or it could be $2.10. You have plenty of options that don’t involve the spot market and a van trailer if your only concern is having $4k left every week after all expenses and taxes.
