I have a driving record. I spend 64.00 every 6 years. Used to be 14.00. Same license different greed. They check my hoofs, they check my teats. Been 2 million miles, Paid us for doing nothing. He deserves to pay us more. We will let him feed us, clothe us, and we will give a speech every now and then. Bless Truckers, their the back bone of our country. Kind of funny though, don't want our trucks to park in their town.

Good post. The problem is that there is just not enough qualified trainers. Everybody wants and deserves a good trainer but most drivers want nothing to do with it. That is just the nature of truckers. In my opinion truckers like being by themselves. From a trainers perspective I know the company is trying to get me somewhere to pick up a trainee but sometimes the loads just aren't there.
But the best advice about his post was to roll with it. That is exactly what you have to do in trucking.

You are looking for information to make a good, sound decision. There are hundreds of good people on here that are willing to give you good info, or even lend a hand if they are with the same company. Posting the name in search of help is not trashing the company, and the situation you are in is not a normal situation.

Since I don't know the company, I can only give you some general advice: Call the company and talk to your recruiter, then request to talk to the training manager. There is a good chance that something dropped through the cracks. Once on the phone with the manager, be honest and ask if you are clear to back out of training and go home. If you don't take charge of the situation you will be spinning in circles.....

Well, my situation has gone from bad to worse. I called the DM @ 7 this morning as I was instructed to, and apparently someone dispatched the guy who was supposed to train me during the night, far away from my current location. The hotel they put me in had to be checked out of this morning, which I informed the DM. He told me to hold tight and things would be taken care of. I called him multiple times in the hour before I had to check out, and left messages. I called his assistant as well, and got nobody. I have been calling throughout the day as well, and left messages describing my current predicament, and have gotten no answer whatsoever. So, basically, I am now stuck without a room, without a truck, anything. I have been sitting in a Starbucks for the last few hours.

If this isn't resolved by 5, I'm done. If they left me in a hotel, that's one thing. They have left me basically on the street.

I hope your situation gets resolved to your liking by 5. If not, it certainly sounds to me like you've been MORE than reasonable so far.

Things finally got sorted out to some extent. I finally got with a trainer, but had to spend almost an entire day afterward going back and forth with the company over receipts I sent that were not handled, causing 3/4 of my paycheck to be held up. Hoping things improve this week, everything has been a disorganized mess so far.
