While that's true, most of the ones who show up and refuse to listen to things they don't want to hear are the younger ones. Happens all the time around here.

Oh I am sure there are some real pieces of work that show up, but when honest people show up and get screwed, there will be tons of negative backlash.

I guess time will tell. Social media's been around long enough that, if this effect were going to happen, there should've been some sign of it already. But there isn't. Not to mention that the bottom feeders have the financial clout and the political lobby (that being the ATA) doing their dirty work for them outside of social media.. if they get the stranglehold they want on this industry, it's going to be their way or not at all. Even in the wake of a successful social media campaign, there'll still be enough desperate people out there, not to mention the prospect of bringing in scab labor.
So, yeah, perhaps there'll be a tide of change coming... don't hold your breath expecting it to be for the better.

Not when the average age of the workforce is old and not tech savvy, plus you may wanna double check that no companies are getting bashed hard right now.

Lets look at englands buisness model. Take a niave person desprate for work. Tell them hey we will train you then you sign a contract that protects us the company. the niave driver signs it. The he is stuffed in a roach motel. Earns his cdl and drives for said company is "trained" cough team drives the " trainer" has had his cdl for three months. But needs to pay bills so he gets all the truck miles while poor student starvs. After being forced to be in said truck for up to six months with the constant threat of being sent to collections if he quits. And he is so desperate to bring home money he sticks it out.
Then his day comes solo! But wait we don't have any tractors for solo drivers. If you want solo you need to sitn a lease then you make the big bucks and its your truck. But if you don't want that then you can quit. But you owe us xamount and we will ruin your credit etc. that is how they force a driver.

The whole of the workforce isn't ignorant about social media, the entire workforce isn't that old - there are enough people in their 20s and 30s in the industry that there isn't exactly a black hole of Internet knowledge present here.
And.. they're getting bashed? ####... everything you've heard about Swift's been repeated a million times over since well before social media came into play. What's the end result? They're still here, there, and everywhere?
Way to show them, I guess?

We will just have to agree to disagree. Truckers AND Trucking companies are very ignorant about social media, I know for a fact.

when was the last time say fox news did a story on the abuse and fraud that happens to drivers by the BF companies? Non that i can remember? Most of the bashing goes on in the trucking world. Not on true social media. i tweet with three congressmen two state senators. So many young pepople have thousands of contacts that spread tweets yelps and such that it would boggle ones mind how fast things can spread.
