    :biggrin_25513: My husband had gotten a ticket 9-2009 and just found out he was charged with careless driving now is there any trucking company that will take him that's his only ticket.

    careless or reckless???? how many points did he lose........it is going on a two year old ticket...so it might not be that herd to get a job

    careless driving is something that will stay with him for a while. did he get that ticket as a licensed truck driver..???

    frankly, not for nothing, but he should have checked his MVR long, long ago....

    :biggrin_25513:he got the ticket in his personal vehicle not a commercial vehicle and the ticket is 18 months old.

    and they charged him with careless not wreckless which I couldn't understand yes he hit a pedestrian late at night and yes they stated that they could not find tire tracks to justify her story he ran the curve but they said he was careless for not maintaining his lane which was only one lane off the intersection?????????????

    truck companies wont care if its personal or not. a driving record is a driving record. personally i think they should have two records. one personal, one commercial. except for things like OUI's and such.

    If it is the only ticket on his record some companies may still hire him if he tells them up front about it and what happened.
    It does suck that what happens in your personal vehicle still counts on your CDL but that is just the way it is....

    yes sidewalk are side walks but ummmmmmmmmm... you missed my point there was no evidence indicating he ran on the side walk he was at the light coming off intersection not on the sidewalk.
