I"m sure each contractor, of which FedEx has many, would each be different. 120 miles/night, weekend off, home everyday and make $800 / week. Don't think about it too long. That job will be gone quick. I'd be on that like right now! Even if the contractor is a PITA it'd be a nice gig. Most of that work will probalby be terminal to terminal.
Go for it. -
thanks a lot ,, yes is terminal to terminal work,,, i will go for it thats for sure,,

no it is not 1099?

As far as how the contractor will treat you, thats gonna depend on the contractor. Expect to be willing to work weekends also, they call me in atleast one weekend a month.

I don't know the exact details of it, maybe someone will give you the scoop, but it's basically what I said.
So, say you made $40,000 and didn't pay estimated quarterly taxes. At the end of the year you'll pay your taxes and as a W2 person that tax bill would be somewhere in the 20% range. But come the end of the year as a 1099 you're now looking at around 35%. Again, if you hadn't paid any quarterly taxes, and the contracter hadn't taken any money out to pay taxes you'd be looking at a tax bill in the neighborhood of $14,000.The Challenger Thanks this. -
I dont believe they can 1099 you,if im not correct to be considered a contracter you must mave equipment per the irs.a certain set of skills is not ok with them.If you run his truck he is responsible for unemployment fees plus workmans compensation as well.I got audited last year they really got nasty but what else would you expect from our gubberment.
