The three radios you mention are sold as 10 meter Ham radios and require an FCC issued
licence to operate on the 10 Meter band, however they are easily modified to also work on the CB band and many folks use them on CB, make sure you know where you are transmitting if you get one.

All three are a great choice but be sure of your ant set up before you go a spend big bucks on any radio..A low powered factory radio with a properly set up ant for that truck will out do a big watt metered radio on a poor ant set up..
Here is my suggestion....Save the radio money for now and focus solely on your antenna...Get one of the refurbished cobra 29's or even a new one for under $100 then invest in coax, mount, stud and antenna...
As lrod mentioned about being a 10 meter he is 100% correct but as long as your not a dik and running huge power chances are you will be fine..
Dont fall for wattage rateing cause on a meter you can have lotsa watts but cant reach out cause its a splatter box or distorted all to heck..
Some folk can talk across the world on less watts than those radios you like and others like me who owns a nicely tuned stryker 955 cant make past 8ish miles and all cause the type of truck, some ant stuff i dont know and even the type of ant...
Dont be in a rush to get the big radio to say you got one..
The stryker 655,nice choice,my personal fav of the ones mentioned..

For what it's worth, the frequency counter on my brand new Magnum S6 crapped out in no time.

Cheap radio and a well thought out antenna set up will talk all over a "big" radio and a mediocre antenna set up.

Newbie to here but not to radios. I have owned a variety of radios. Galaxy connex Stryker cobra uniden. My pickup has my 94 hp and my semi has the Stryker 447. I have a connex 4300-300 that sits on my shelf and a 99v early build and a 959. The Stryker I have been able to talk to guys in il va tx nc sc ca nv from Idaho. I can do the same with my galaxy. My antenna setup in my pickup is one from a guy that used to be over by Columbus oh Dana. I have a tri mag mount. Running everything straight to the batts and ground ground ground. The radio is grounded to the chassis the antenna is grounded to the chassis and the chassis was gone through replacing some ground straps. Can't stress that enough. I use old coax for ground wires. I have monkey made predator and a home brew antenna. The monkey made is freaking heavy. Blahhh. The predator is my one of choice for the semi due to it weighs little to nothing and is really easy to tune. I also use die electric grease on all my connections due to the mag chloride and salt on the roads. It boils down to personal preference. Your gonna get the radio that you want and that looks the best. People always do. If your gonna spend all the pennies on it make sure you don't skimp out when it comes to the important stuff. Go to a good shop there are a few still left. Have them set you up with some good coax preferably some with heat shrink on the ends. Helps keep out moisture. A good antenna Wilson Francis predator browning. If they are a good shop they won't charge you an arm and two legs to get you rolling. Take care of your equipment. Clean the ends I use a brass wire brush on my antenna ends every month or so. Check your grounds periodically get your self a multi meter and you can do a lot with it alone. Checking for shorts and for conductivity. Don't be fooled by the 18 myth for coax. I use just enough plus a foot incase the ends ever need to be replaced. Well I think I have rambled enough. Just hate to see good money go to waste. Have fun enjoy talking.

I've got a fb4 new with 4 Toshiba pills in it I'm putting the amp on the bottom of a new 955... but I still like the older Strykers 447 and the 497... more watts pushes your signal out further... that's what a linear does.... if certain serious dxers didn't know what their doing mark wolfman streetsweeper then why can you hear them so often throughout the United states ???
