This is why there will always be brokers.
Shipper to broker. I have this load every monday, can you commit to it?
Broker. Yes i can.
Carrier. I can do it this week but nest week i might want more money. Or i might take next week off. Can i load it tuesday instead? Can i deliver wednesday instead of tuesday? If someone offers me more money, you'll have to pay more.............
Can this industry ever evolve to not needing brokers anymore? Think about it

Most people that want this transiency are under pressure to make a lot of money because they're heavily leveraged. Quit leasing trucks with $4000 a month payments & quit financing your life at home.
There, I fixed it. You're welcome.
I am, or my basic human instincts, against brokers only when I can't gross 20k per month on less than 10 000 miles.
For me this is the line where symbiosis borders with parasitism. Everyone has his own line.
Yeah, yeah...supply and demand, free market and all. I woud preach that too in Economics 101 in a 2 year community college but as long as I am on the receiving end of the stick, I won't go against my basic instincts.
I am a hypocrite but at least I'm honest.
P.S. If I can't gross $15 000 per month on less than 10 000 miles, I am against everything.
