    Depends on the type of temporary tag. The in-transit tags issued by dealers, usually no. Same with the hunters permit issued by most states, they are unladen only.

    A true temporary IRP registration, the kind you get while waiting for your metal plate to be mailed, if they even do that anymore, yes.

    Also need your IFTA or fuel/trip permits and to display DOT number.

    all fees must be paid before operating the vehicle. So , depends on the so called temp tag. Who issued it etc etc
