From what I just learned, the emergency vehicles send out pulses that they can feel.
As for brake check... they get out and feel for air escaping around the glad hands.
They are able to drive big rigs now not just 4 wheelers. :)

Well I do, but I don't know it is legal or illegal one of the other. So I guess it really debate on where you are in the state or maybe a trucking company. I do because I drive my own truck. Reason why I do it is calling my family members or listen to music but not blasting my ears to the point I can't hear nobody. So I can drive with ear buds in my ears but just don't blast where you can't a incoming Ambulance or any source of an emergency vehicle with flashing lights and siren. So you can drive with ear buds just be careful how you blast it.

Manufacturers of trucks don't use quality speakers.
Replace w full range aftermarket speakers for a world of difference, cost is 25 -30 per speaker

State and federal governments are exempt from their own rules. When I worked in IT for the state, never saw so many cyber security weaknesses. They are so busy keeping on top of private companies they don't have time to keep their own house in order.

My understanding us any device that covers both ears is illegal, it doesnt matter if you only have it in one ear, if its capable of covering both, then you can be cited.

Gotta love the ear piercing sound your water tank makes when you depressurize it.

I should start wearing ear plugs too. We also have a million in the break room. I only wear them when I hammer concrete off my truck.

I used to do 1" rock that they used to fill around power poles.
Just a drum full of rock with maybe 25 gallons of water.
It's painfully loud coming out of the chute.

Sure. But it's only legal in one ear. So you might want to stifle the hip hop hand motions as you're going through the scale.
