Should be able to adjust it at the clutch unless its a SOLO, those are self adjusting I think.

Anybody ever drive a truck with an air assisted clutch? Feels super weird compared to anything else I've driven.

The t680 clutch is air over hydraulic .. After a week or two getting stuck in heavy traffic often I learned to like it a lot .. You can stand on ground outside truck and reach in and push it to floor with one hand very easy .. Not sure about long term durability I've only got 185,000 miles

The 579 I drive has the air over hydraulic. Seems as though it caused premature failure of the clutch brake. Have heard of it from other drivers in the Peterbilts that have issues with it. Could just be isolated though. The shop adjusted to no avail. I have a feeling that it will require a lot more discipline to avoid pressing all the way to floor. Mine had 177k on it when I got it an the clutch brake was inoperable. Have put 12k on it since then and no other issues aside from a weak left leg.

Some trucks have air-assist clutches. I've personally only drove ONE of those in my career though.

R-Model clutches are still better than International clutches, especially a ceramic one. Try making your way out of NYC with one of those.

Hi E-6, got that right. I drove a IH 4300 conventional, that had a miserable clutch. No pressure point whatsoever. And the NYC deal, not applicable. I was only in NYC once, as a kid, (1960's) with my folks and have never been back there since, much less in a truck.
