Federal provision on having any firearm in a CMV... Texas law doesn't step on Federal rules. No.

At the risk of starting another hundred page thread can you post a specific federal regulation backing your statement?

If you can please post it.

I heard it on the CB does not count.

My brother knows a Federal Marshall does not count.

Having to abide all the reciprocity and reciprocation criteria any other CWP or CCW permit holder will does not count.

Your preference to not carry does not count.

I am asking for the Federal Register docket number or the Article number specifically singling out commercial motor vehicles operators from having the exact same carrying privileges as any other traveling person in the US.

You have to look past the normal items that would stick out - here's where they get you -

    FMCSA Part 173.54: Forbidden explosives
Unless otherwise provided in this sub-chapter, the following explosives shall not be offered for transportation or transported:
(f): A loaded firearm (except as provided in 49 CFR 1544.219)

The 49 CFR provision relates only to law enforcement officers traveling by aircraft.

The one thing you all have missed with a couple of exceptions is the fact that he is asking specifically about TEXAS.
