Haha....never really had a problem overall with Chicago or anywhere else. But of course it depends what time of day you're hitting them too. I ran a daily dedicated route to Chicago for years. I'd hit town about 4 am, unload and reload....and be back out of town before the morning commute even started.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
I live it, I know the ins and outs... It helps getting paid hourly... I love a good traffic jam...
Over time speaks...

I'm a local, so Dallas/Fort Worth has always seemed easy to me... Houston on the other hand, absolutely sucks. Washington DC running the loop, as there always seems to be cars broken down parked partially in the right lane. LA wasn't bad if you timed it right, San Francisco was horrible. I hated Chicago due to the reduced width lanes, was always white knuckle. My only "NYC" deliveries were long island, honestly I've had worse issues backing in around Philly

Oh hell yes, Houston traffic sucks! it's nonstop bumper to bumper, no one uses signals or looks when changing lanes. every car i see, the driver is texting away. i once saw a motorcycle cop texting several years ago. another morning on 610, i flashed a 4wheeler trying to get over to let him in and he started showing me the state bird. he got over another lane, got behind me, came up again on the left and as he passed he had his phone up recording my tractor.Last edited: May 19, 2016

Gotta give the Nebraska Dept of roads credit .. someone saw the population boom coming there and they got on it it in the early 90s in the Omaha area , isn't far to go and 80 will be 4 lanes in each direction from the east side of council bluffs to the west side of Lincoln .

His question is go thru. Unless you are going to Chicago, you don't have to go thru Chicago. Neither I55 nor I57 go thru Chicago.
