I actually knew a driver who had a road bike and a mountain bike he stored on the top bunk in the cab. He just removed the front wheels in order to make them easier to get into the truck. When he was doing his reset he would go out and bike around different areas. It isn't ideal, but it can be done.
Can you explore a new city everyday as a newbie trucker?

And I recall when I went to Vegas if you parked at the pilot, you could walk up the hill and catch a bus into vegas and see the sights. I spent all day in Vegas (I don't gamble) seeing the sights. Had a blast. Then caught the little bus back to the hill above the pilot. I was doing a reset, so the time was mine to spend as I pleased. Most truck stops are in the middle of nowhere and that type of thing may not be possible.

In all seriousness there are some truck stops near and sometimes in cities. Guess you could explore. Call a cab grab bite at a restaurant, but this job takes alot of energy even dry vans. By time I get parked for day I just want to relax but think it be cool to park somewhere near NYC and see a Yankees game or something. Keep in mind we have to deliver at a certain time and your company won't buy the excuse I was sightseeing. If you finds way to do it more power to you.

Sometimes on weekends a person might land someplace interesting. The 14 hour clock makes things difficult.
I picked up one time on Friday that delivered on Monday, and home was no where near, so I was able to take a leisurely drive from Michigan down to... southern Kentucky or someplace like that.
Would have liked to have been able to stop at one of the car museums on the way in Indiana or Michigan.
Also, there was a big car show of some sorts in Detroit. Unfortunately, once that clock starts, you go as far as you can and land where you land, just in case something comes up.
Back in the day, my dad managed to go to a few baseball games on the weekends. Called a cab, usually. -

I have not seen a hole lot of truck stops close enough to a city to ride a big to unless you are like a triathlon kinda person.
Plus big cities are horrible !!!!
I mean, I have seen tons of guys with a bike straped on their catwalk area , not really sure if they were actually their bikes or if they "found" them
Good luck on your quest !!!!...
Oh hell , you could take a bus or cab too... -
The big problem with the OP's question is that you really just leave the truck on a whim, especially if all you're doing is waiting to get loaded. The company also might not allow that. But if they do, it's a bit more feasable to do that while taking a 34 hr reset.
