I don't think I would do the suit and tie (pretrips can be a littke messy) but I always have nice jeans and a polo or button up shirt. No flip flops and ripped sweatpants for this professional driver.

My instructor told a story about a guy that went through his class whose goal was to become a dentist debt free. He started driving, bought his first truck and then a second and has now completed college sold the two trucks and bought and paid for a home in Florida from trucking. I would say, if you can dream it and put your dreams into a workable plan, perseverance and plain bulldoggedness will get the job done.

I just wanted to say: what an AWESOME response. At 28, I am sickened by the entitlement attitude of people. Dated a gal who gave up her dreams because "the first year was hard." REALLY?! You have to pay your dues? Nothing wrong with driving a truck. My dad, the Army vet tough guy, operates trucks for farms. You provide for your family, who cares?

    ...but I digress
