Irp is your tags/. License plates You only pay that once a year in your home state irp office. In Georgia it’s all done online now. 1400 to 1800 dollars depending on the value of your truck. Trailer tags are permanent. In Georgia anyway. You just pay per diem every year of the value of the trailer
Can you get mc number / dot # without insurance? Also IRP question

Ifta and kyu is like 5 dollars for the permit. You will receive an ifta permit and sticker for truck. Ifta will be on your home state. Kyu no permit you have to show. Ky uses your license plate and vin number to look up to see if your registered. Out of service for not having that one coming through Kentucky. Always file on time or you will be red flagged for ifta audit. You have 30 days from the end of each quarter to file or it’s considered late

Is the permit you buy for Kentucky good for all year?
-
Yes I think it’s free Once you get license all you do is pay quarterly just like IFTA Same due dates. License stays good no renewal required . Each quarter when filing your given option to cancel

I just renewed IRP Base plate ( new sticker for plate and new cab card) .Improved process no longer need to pre- pick states to have on plate.Next year upon renewal you’ll report miles for each state and be charged according.Price varies each year since each States costs are different. But not much since most of fee goes to Base State.
