IF you could land a local job somewhere...it's not going to be at an outfit you'll like.

You have better options OTR - but what I said above still applies. It will not be at a company you'll like

Never speed because your girl friend has to pee. Pull off onto a country road and find a place for her to squat....if she doesn't want to do that, then she doesn't have to pee that bad.

I am 22 and i landed a local job right out of trucking school. before the school i was a regular strait truck driver for a bout a year delivering electrical supplies. that didn't help much while applying to local jobs because they all wanted/required cdl experience. a lot of people say its almost impossible to get a local job unless you know somebody. personally i did not want to do otr. i was shooting for local only and thats just what i did. i landed a local job that hired and payed me 17/hr to start. and how i got the job.. i applied to probably about 30 different local truck driving jobs online got a bunch of replies saying they need someone with experince. got a few interviews and landed a great job. its all about persistence and keep applying to jobs. i was lucky enough to land a local job so can you

I believe if you re-read the law it will say while operating a CDL and you get 2 tickets... However, IMHO, this driver should not drive a vehicle that requires any responsibility or any chance of collision on the highway. If you have to ask this kind of question I'm sorry but I see a lack of common sense. Just place yourself in the shoes of the hiring person looking at your application and any other from their stack of job applicants. Unless you have a huge stack of hundred dollar bills with it you don't stand a chance. Sorry it's the truth and you should have been told before you spent a nickel for any truck training. I'd also let it be known what school this is because it's very clear they are in the training industry just for the money. How much do they charge and what have they said about your hiring potential? You don't have to tell me I'm just curious but honestly Corroded-Arteries I don't see much of anything that's positive that could over-ride those huge screw ups.
