This is NOT an over-the-road job.

Coleman Transport is looking for an experienced heavy hauler who can also operate heavy equipment.

You would be hauling heavy equipment through the mountains of KY, WV, VA and other parts of the region. Almost everything is overweight and over width. Every load is different. Every road is different. Every day is different.

The perfect driver for this job would be someone who has driven for several years. A slower-paced type who has experienced the challenges of heavy loads and uncommon dimensions. We are not looking for the guy who likes to jump in his truck and roll. We're looking for the guy who double-checks his load and considers his route. A thinker and a doer and someone who can communicate his plan with the escorts.

A flexible schedule is a must for this position. While you can count on being home most every night, the hours each day can fluctuate. For example, our general workday is 7:30AM - 4:30PM. However, a customer request could require that our drivers come in at, say, 6:30AM and work until 6:00PM. Your availability during the work week would need to be flexible.

We don't work on Sundays unless it's an emergency and we avoid Saturdays at all costs. There will be occasional overnight stays when we have projects that involve tearing down and reassembling large pieces of heavy equipment, but those projects are far less frequent than our day-to-day hauling demands.

Coleman Transport is located in the Appalachian Mountains. We have been in business for nearly 25 years. We are family-owned and hire professionals folks who know their stuff. We're looking for a driver who has real experience in hauling oversized/overweight equipment used in coal mining, natural gas drilling, road building and utilities (power & electric companies) and loves what they do. If you're that person and want to settle-in at a small company hauling big equipment, we would love to talk to you.

If you are interested in learning more about our company and this position, please email Gina at: gina@colemantransport.com.

    RidgeRunner731 Thanks this.

Don't know if you are hunting, but it sounds like your wheel house.
