Hi guys,
looks like a lot of expertise in this board so I'm hoping for your help.
I'm not very familiar with the different types of Peterbilt trucks but I'm trying to find out which specific model this one is:
Ther are different information on the web, such as 359, 378 and 379.
Tried to point out the differences from other photos but they all look quite similar to me.
Can somebody please tell me which one this is or how I can find it out?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Can you help me to find out which type of Peterbilt this is?

Looks like an old 359...if it is, it's probably the last year or so that they were made....I can't remember EXACTLY when the 379's came out but it was right arounf that time....However I believe that this is a 359 due to the corvette style dash, the vents for the a/c and heater being on top of the dash in the center and the rounded headlights...someone with more knowledge and a better memory than me can surely confirm or disavow my answer...lol.

Standard (short) hood 359

Yep 359 short hood for sure. One of the quickest ways to identify a 359 is the cut out in the hood for the breather tube(379 is hidden), also notice the side fender light that was on the 359, and the metal strip between the windshields, and yes the corvette dash is only found on some 359's but not all. If memory serves me right 1986 was the last year for the 359, the last year they were in production be it 86 or 87 there was only three hundred and fifty nine made, and some with stand-up sleepers. Sorry about the approximate dates but my hair and memory both are slipping.

in the beginning of the video its labeled a 1983, that would make it a 359. The corvette dash should be a give away but there is at least I kit out there to put the vette dash in a 379. But from the looks of the exterior I doubt anyone put a 5500.00 dash conversion in that truck. there should be a brass plate riveted to the bottom of the dash right above the clutch pedal stating year, model, dry weight, ect.

Hey guys,
was sure this is the right place to ask but didn't expect to get your competent answers that fast,
found so many different information before, also the year varied between 1983 and 1986.
Thanks a lot!
