Exercise is important, but diet accounts for most of your health.

If you want exercise, consider getting into flatbed or other types of trucking that keep you active. I switched to flatbed from "no touch van" going on three years ago. I love it. I would never consider going back to van or reefer. I'm 62 and having a blast.

Yea lol, I can see myself being careless one day. If I do decide to Truck, Ill pay out of pocket for CDL and sign a year contract to get training.and experience, and just im case something bad happends the loss will be minimal finacially. You.can still get training with a fresh CDL and sign a year.contract? After OTR ill go local if it works out for me.

The only thing most drivers are "hitting" is the buffet tables.

Trucking takes all your free time, I would say. Meaning if your not driving your sleeping or showering or eating.g or doing laundry. Today with ELDs your less likely to drop trailer and bobtailing to a gym. Dropping a loaded trailer and leaving it unattended is not a good idea. As a driver your responsible for that load.

Just sign up for a flatbed company those driver get all kinds of workout taping in the winter like today it was 13F. Then in the summer you be sweating all you can in the 118F Arizona heat. Plus I hear they pay you $75 or something to tarp a load. So they are paying you to exercise !

Dive dropped #45 in the past 7 months, eat clean, but out all the sugar and get an exercise band (A heavy rubber tube with handles). Clean eating is the key. A good fridge will pay for itself in a month if your eating fast food all the time.
I stop at walmart about every 10 days or so and stock up. I figure I spend about 45-65 A week on food. Lots of oatmeal, chicken breasts and vegetables. Add some canned soup, sandwich stuff and a few gallons of water and your done.
Google Hot logic mini. Makes cooking chicken breasts, veggies really simple

Wanting to maintain a good gym schedule is often not about "losing weight" but is about maintaining or increasing strength and building or maintaining muscle mass. Simply adjusting your eating habits is not going to address that in the least, and tarping 3 loads a week isn't going to help much either.

Bottom line is, trucking (OTR) and maintaining a 3 day/wk weight training schedule is generally not going to happen.

Seeing STexans picture is making me reconcider Trucking. I know I would prefer local but other than a DUI once I did get in a few accidents. But I was young and stupid.
My options are to become a mailman, study for the test, apply.
Become a Trucker, a potential dangerous job
Was thinking of radiology at community college. Learn more about anatomy and patient care and get a sweet job.

Im not sure how ill end up.

Trucking is a gamble for me and sounds excoting. I guess im saying maybe play it safe and try other avenues first.
