Idle the truck. No APU or they decide to cheap out and put an electric “apu” then the trucks ganna idle. Company don’t like it they can either pound sand or put a diesel apu.

A laptop will not be a problem to keep charged. The only way to keep a fridge is to either idle or have an APU. There really is no good third option.

Been running a fridge, fan, and electronics no problem. I have ran fridge for a couple days without touching the truck. Truck batteries are pretty solid. I run a trolling motor all day on my little boat with a truck battery. If y’all’s ain’t holding up, it’s time to buy some new batteries.

Most dorm fridges pull less than 100 watts and if you load them right , they are off more than they are on.
Pretty sure most of the training companies have inverters and apus or at least this opti idle thing you guys are talking about.
Is anyone still making new drivers suffer like that?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
you will find good videos on YouTube in regards to power inverters. you can check my video on how I installed, it is not as good as other videos , but you will get the idea. the only problem, it is in Spanish. "un peruano en las carreteras de USA"
