Can you live outside the hiring area, if already hired?

I live next to Cartersville GA would they let me drive the truck home. I'll start next month at the cartersville ga location

If you live that close to Cartersville, my guess would be they would make you park it at the terminal. Most of us that take the truck home do so because we live hours from a terminal.

 

If I had to leave at terminal I guess would be fine. With leaving personal vehicle at terminal to drive the rig do these terminals have somewhere to park motorcycles with out having to worry about damage or theft.

 

They have a lot for drivers povs not sure if is leave a motorcycle there though.

 

I would hate for something happen to my 2014 street glide its all I got for transportation to and from work. I'm gonna call raychel tomorrow and see what she says. Surely they will let me know in training before going over the road. thanks alot for your input.

So, how do you plan to take all the things you will need in the truck back and forth on a bike? You might want to think that though a little more.

 

I can fit everything I need with me on my bike. It has plenty of storage and what wont fit in saddle bags I'll put in a duffle bag. I am new to trucking never trucked in my life what things will I need. I'm thinking personal hygene , clothes for a couple of weeks, and what food i'll eat while on the road which I figure i'll still have to stop at a grocery store when needed. but please let me know if there is more to it that that.

 

bedding, clothing, food, personal hygiene, any electronics, ie laptop, gps, etc...log books, maps, pens/pencils/paper.

What are you going to do in the rain, sleet, or snow?
