Can you put insurance "ON HOLD"?

    You are asking for more trouble than it’s worth. Insurance for me is $1250 a month. If yours is close to that it will only take two good loads a month to cover it for 3 or 4 months.

    Dropping cargo isn't going to save much. Run the truck or park it, suspend your numbers, cancel your insurance and your IRP/IFTA.

    Do you know anyone with a CDL that you would trust with your equipment? Maybe have them run it for you until you're ready to drive again.

    I drop my insurance down to fire and theft for the winter months. It cuts my monthly ins payments by 75 per cent.
