lol, great theory, I suddenly have an insight because of this. Think of motor oil as alcohol, the PM you sent me help me learned that 5W is thicker than 15W as to liquor is stronger than beer, now I get it. Better to get 15W because it is thinner just like beer is great, and that too strong of a thing can be bad....liquor gonna make you drunk and disoriented even more than beer.

another bad thing I just realized is that whenever I drink a couple bottles of beer then I drink a few glasses of wine, I'd get a headache and throw up, now comes to this theory for motor oil, so I guess it's bad to mix huh?
At least I didn't die from drinking the mix of beer and wine, so it's probably not too bad of a bad thing for the truck lol :biggrin_25519:

It should be a NON detergent oil. All motor oil's have DETERGENT in them. Hydraulic oil has no detergent but is more expensive, get the non detergent oil instead and you will find it with the rest of the motor oil's.

How about using power steering fluid in a power steering system?

My truck specifies Dextron III ATF fluid, which I had trouble finding at several truckstops.

I wouldn't suggest doing it in a company truck. The last thing you need is to be blamed by your shop for voiding the trucks warranty. That could be costly.
